Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is mandatory
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles with the ability to convey complex technical solutions
- Solid understanding of manufacturing scenarios, layouts, and automation strategies
- Proficient in CAD software for layout design
- Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition OPC/UA software and/or FT Optix is essential
- Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES), warehouse execution systems (WES), and related logistics software
- Hands-on experience with AMR/AGV systems integration
- Direct interaction experience with clients or end-users
- Expertise in PLC design and integration
- Strong project management capabilities, able to manage several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated proficiency in Linux
- Ability to train users on automated equipment or software
- Skill in writing and modifying software code (Python, C++, or other)
Responsibilities
- Commission and integrate AMR systems at client sites across North America, requiring travel for on-site deployment and integration with existing facility automation and business systems
- Provide daily support at client locations to identify issues and assist in optimizing system performance to enhance operations
- Aid in the detailed design of AMR systems to fulfill customer demands, including workflow, attachment, and map design, along with modifications to the middle layer software logic using Ignition OPC/UA, FT Optix, and/or PLC logic
- Develop and execute acceptance test protocols to validate system functionality and performance
- Analyze, simulate, and experiment to optimize system execution
- Oversee project planning for deliverables and specific work packages assigned to you
- Communicate technical specifics and updates to clients and the wider project team
- Facilitate training sessions for Pacteon staff, integration partners, and end-users
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues using available internal tools to solve challenging technical problems
- Create new product requirements informed by the insights gained from design and commissioning processes
- Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance departmental tools, processes, and interdepartmental relations
- Provide advanced technical support to clients, partners, and internal teams
- Exhibit a proven ability to communicate complex technical solutions effectively to customers
- Be prepared to travel for business commitments up to 50% of the time
