Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator with a strong emphasis on Microsoft SQL/Azure and Oracle databases
- Proficient in database performance optimization and monitoring
- Familiarity with both logical and physical database designs and modifications
- Knowledgeable in best practices for backup and restoration
- Understanding of data governance and data security principles, along with best practices
- Capable of designing and implementing efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for comprehensive data integration
- Experience in a Microsoft environment and with the Java Spring Boot framework is a plus
- Competent in using configuration management for change control and impact assessment for databases
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to craft complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the performance and functionality of Microsoft SQL/Azure and Oracle databases
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal operation
- Design and execute logical and physical database architectures
- Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures aligned with best practices
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security protocols
- Create and manage efficient ETL processes to integrate diverse data sources
- Collaborate with technical teams within a Microsoft environment, utilizing Java and Spring Boot when necessary
- Analyze database changes and assess impacts through configuration management
