Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience with .NET
- Proficient in programming with common frameworks using Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, SSIS, SSRS, SQL Server, and/or Team Foundation Server
- Experience with complex applications featuring multiple integration points and distributed architecture
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger team
- Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn business processes
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and implement technical solutions in Microsoft environments leveraging Azure and .NET technologies
- Maintain existing on-premise applications and facilitate their transition to cloud solutions
- Develop solutions for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring, utilizing containerization technologies
- Engage in analysis and design discussions for software solutions with team members
- Participate in architecture and code review sessions to enhance the quality of deliverables
- Share expertise and knowledge openly with team colleagues to foster a collaborative environment
- Assist clients with the maintenance of traditional .NET on-premise systems and transitioning to modern frameworks

At Sawyer Consulting, we are a Maryland-based firm dedicated to offering expertise in business, data, and technology architecture for complex regulatory IT programs across the Federal government. Our collaboration with systems integrators allows us to provide specialized insights into industries significantly affected by recent regulatory reforms. We are currently looking for multiple software engineers to join our dynamic team in the Washington D.C., Chicago, or NYC metro areas. This is a hybrid position, requiring up to 3 days a week in the office for candidates residing in the Washington D.C. metro area.
