Requirements
Must:
- Basic understanding of software testing techniques (both manual and automated)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git
- Exposure to SQL for validating data and supporting ETL processes
- Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence
- Foundational knowledge of at least one programming language (such as Java, C#, or JavaScript)
- Interest in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or similar) and modern frameworks
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on collaboration in cross-functional teams
- U.S. Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or eligibility for sponsorship
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 1 year in software testing, QA support, or a related development position
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best practices in testing
- Enthusiasm for advancing in test automation, cloud-based applications, and sophisticated testing tools
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and execution of test cases for software development, enhancements, and deployment activities
- Support configuration management, automated builds, testing, and deployment processes
- Document and maintain test results, user feedback, and defect tracking
- Collaborate with developers and senior test engineers to verify requirements, system designs, and enhancements
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by aiding automated testing and quality checks on code
- Perform data validation and management using SQL
- Create high-fidelity mockups and support user interface/experience testing efforts
- Aid in database migration testing to ensure data integrity during transitions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, while documenting test-related activities in Jira/Confluence
- Provide feedback on usability, performance, and compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards
- Work with APIs and front-end/back-end systems to facilitate functional, regression, and integration testing
