Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or software engineering is preferred but not mandatory
- At least 2 years of full-stack development experience
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, with additional programming languages as an advantage
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery for developing rich client functionalities
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and solid cross-browser design skills
- Experience in mobile site/application development and responsive web design
- Preferred experience of 1 year in eCommerce
- Knowledge of AngularJS, React, or any lightweight front-end framework is a plus
- Understanding of usability/interface design, with UI/UX knowledge for mobile and tablet beneficial
- Advanced SQL query skills are preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent time management, organizational, and planning skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
- Proven track record of building relationships and collaborating across departments
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach and strong sense of urgency
- Curious and driven to excel, with a willingness to question the norm
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
- Capability to juggle multiple projects and adhere to development timelines
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality software products on schedule while minimizing coding errors through technical expertise and attention to detail
- Engage in hands-on development utilizing established programming languages and methodologies
- Analyze, test, and debug software across various environments
- Provide ongoing support to production systems, proactively addressing issues and implementing solutions
- Create Proof-of-Concepts to evaluate the viability of proposed project strategies
- Maintain high levels of detail in programming and understanding how individual tasks fit into the overall project
- Suggest new technologies that could improve product development and enhance user experiences
- Work collaboratively with developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure product delivery meets expectations
- Actively contribute ideas and insights while also working independently to fulfill commitments
- Articulate and advocate for decisions based on solid programming principles to bring ideas to fruition
- Stay updated with emerging technologies to apply development best practices
- Champion high-quality user experiences and development standards
