Requirements
Must:
- 2–4 years of professional experience in Python backend development
- Demonstrable proficiency with Agentic coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and OpenAI Codex
- Strong expertise in SQLAlchemy ORM and Pydantic for effective data validation
- Familiarity with LangChain, embeddings, and vector database concepts
- Experience with Microservices, Docker, Asynchronous programming, or Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Modernize and refactor outdated components of our Enterprise Case Management System
- Design and implement scalable, asynchronous APIs utilizing FastAPI
- Employ agentic coding techniques to enhance productivity while ensuring high code quality
- Assist in developing RAG pipelines and AI-driven features leveraging LangChain and LangGraph
- Create robust data models and oversee intricate integrations with Oracle Database
Description
We are a forward-thinking Manhattan-based client seeking to hire a skilled Backend AI developer on a 12-month 1099 contract, potentially extending longer. This role offers the opportunity to be at the cutting edge of Agentic Coding while collaborating closely with our engineering team to transform legacy systems into modern, AI-centric architectures. You will benefit from a hybrid remote work environment with a competitive pay rate of $50.00 - $60.00 per hour, expecting around 40 hours per week.
