Senior Information Security Engineer

- Lead the construction, configuration, and upkeep of cybersecurity systems to ensure compliance and security in operational environments - Implement security measures using industry best practices across various technologies, including SIEM, email filtering, web filtering, firewalls, and access management - Skillfully manage existing security systems and enhance them with new features, upgrades, and necessary configurations - Diligently monitor and address security system health alerts - Handle daily operational tasks related to security tools while concurrently working on strategic initiatives - Provide security consulting to other departments within Sanford Health - Assist a dedicated 24x7 team of security engineers focused on maintaining stability and minimizing risk - Foster relationships with key vendors and suppliers - Oversee strategic projects, ensuring processes and procedures are clearly documented and defined - Identify and communicate internal and external threats, understanding the associated risks - Offer strategic advice to enhance overall security posture and efficiency of current tools - Mentor team members while being open to guidance from others - Prepare documentation for team use and identify gaps in processes for updates
