Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate with substantial experience in constructing and expanding distributed systems. You should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in multi-cloud environments, specifically GCP, Azure, and AWS. A solid understanding of container technologies like Kubernetes (EKS) is essential, along with expertise in Linux system administration, networking, and security within a cloud setting. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm is required. You must also be proficient in modern CI/CD systems, including ArgoCD, CircleCI, and GitHub Actions. Basic scripting knowledge in languages like Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or similar is necessary. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must, as you will be interfacing with users, other technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements and outline software product features and strategies.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will enable our developers to operate cost-effective, scalable, performant, and highly available applications. I will focus on enhancing the reliability and resilience of our managed services and infrastructure. Collaborating with development teams, I will integrate best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). I will also provide mentorship to junior engineers to cultivate their skills and increase their capabilities. Utilizing the latest tools and industry practices, I will address the changing requirements of our internal engineers, developers, and external customers. I am expected to maintain our cloud provider infrastructure, oversee system deployments, and manage product release operations. My responsibilities include continuously assessing and adopting new technologies to boost the efficiency of our infrastructure, participating in system design consulting, and managing platform capacity planning. Documenting system architecture, operations, and troubleshooting procedures will also be part of my duties. Additionally, I will take part in an on-call rotation using a follow-the-sun model.
