Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in software engineering with proven leadership and mentorship skills
- Extensive understanding of modern software architecture principles including microservices and API design
- Strong full-stack development experience across front-end, back-end, and database technologies
- Experience in building or supporting an Email Service Provider or enterprise-grade email delivery systems is preferred
- Deep knowledge of SMTP, MTAs, DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, blocklist management, bounce handling, and feedback loops
- Hands-on experience with event-driven or streaming technologies for large-scale processing
- Proficiency in backend development with high-throughput, fault-tolerant systems
- Familiarity with DevOps and tooling such as containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure as code, and deployment automation
- Strong leadership capabilities, enhancing the growth of engineering teams while contributing technically
- Comfortable in agile, product-centered environments and adaptable to changing priorities
- 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required)

Responsibilities
- Shape the technical architecture and implementation strategy for the new Email Service Provider platform
- Maintain an active and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, serving as a witness to your faith
- Design, construct, and uphold the technical architecture of the ESP platform, ensuring security and scalability
- Develop strategies for managing sender reputation, bounce handling, and deliverability monitoring
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to convert user needs into actionable technical plans
- Promote engineering best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, secure coding, and performance monitoring
- Mentor and guide developers, fostering a supportive and collaborative growth environment
- Contribute directly to the codebase by developing foundational components and troubleshooting technical issues
- Work with other Product Technical Leads to establish consistent technical standards and practices
- Ensure the integrity and quality of deliverables, managing technical debt and reliable deployment processes
- Lead retrospectives, monitoring engineering metrics to drive continuous improvement
