Must:
We are seeking a current SHSU student who is enrolled in at least six (6) semester hours and maintains a minimum GPA of 2.5. You should possess basic computer skills and knowledge. While experience in IT, Service Desk, or customer service is preferred, we are open to considering a combination of education, experience, and training that provides the necessary knowledge and abilities.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver front-line Tier 1 support via phone, email, in person, remotely, and through chat to internal and external clients. You will be responsible for promptly providing quality technical assistance to SHSU constituents facing technology challenges while accurately documenting all interactions. Maintaining confidentiality and data security is essential. Additionally, you will contribute to the Service Desk's continuous improvement efforts, review and update knowledge articles in the IT Knowledge Base, and ensure the resolution of incidents or service requests aligns with established policies and Service Level Agreements. You will also foster a collaborative team atmosphere by sharing ideas, resources, and support with fellow student workers.
Description
The ideal candidate should be able to work between 15 to 26 hours each week in a fast-paced Service Desk environment. Strong skills in customer service, communication, and problem-solving are critical, alongside reliability and a team-oriented approach.
