Requirements
Must:
- I must be enrolled in at least six semester hours and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 at Sam Houston State University.
- I need to demonstrate essential technology skills related to hardware and office applications.
- Experience in Data Security, Accounting, or Customer Service is preferred.
- I should be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and participating in team lifts of various weights.
Responsibilities
- I will perform intake procedures for devices that need recycling or disposal.
- I will carry out data sanitization for computer equipment.
- I will schedule and complete weekly transportation of equipment to the designated properties.
- I will also coordinate on-demand transportation of equipment to SHSU satellite locations in The Woodlands and Conroe.
- I will be responsible for keeping the department space organized, including managing and counting stock.
- I will assist full-time employees in addressing client requests.
- I will handle data entry and analysis within inventory and service management systems.
- I will communicate with campus clients and stakeholders through phone calls, emails, and messaging.
- I may take on additional tasks as assigned.
Description
This position will require me to work between 16 to 20 hours per week, and the hiring rate is $10.00 per hour. This role is classified as a Student Employee and does not qualify for College Work Study. As a student employee in IT Asset Management within the Information Technology division, I will contribute to various essential tasks while gaining valuable experience in a professional environment.
