Must:
- I possess extensive development experience utilizing the React framework, alongside TypeScript and CSS in intricate web applications.
- I am proficient in implementing design systems, specifically MaterialUI.
- I have expertise in crafting reusable components.
- I am capable of designing and constructing frameworks to meet strategic or business objectives.
- I can identify and apply design, code, and best practices to enhance team velocity and elevate quality.
- I can collaborate and devise architectural solutions with senior architects and engineers.
- I have experience working with large, integrated systems with numerous external dependencies, web services, and APIs (either REST or GraphQL), and PHP with Doctrine.
- I possess a solid understanding of software design patterns.
- I have working knowledge of Linux, Git, and Docker.
- I am knowledgeable about cloud infrastructure, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- I communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and can present on technical topics.
- I have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in web application development.
Responsibilities
- I will collaborate on requirements specification in the format of user stories.
- I will design, implement, and test technical solutions that align with the specified requirements.
- I will develop well-structured and maintainable code for web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
- I will work alongside other developers on feature development, conduct code reviews, and resolve bugs.
- I will partner with the team to evaluate and implement frameworks and tools to enhance development and quality.
- I will participate in an agile/scrum team, continuously refining processes and behaviors through regular reflection and adaptation.
Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Web Application software development team, where I will primarily utilize PHP, TypeScript, and C#.NET for our front-end and ERP integrations. In addition to our web-based application, which uses the React / GraphQL framework, I will also contribute to a desktop utility that synchronizes Windows-based customer data with our platform. We have expanded our services by developing an in-house React Native application for iOS and Android, facilitating mobile access to our customers' data. Our development and production environments are hosted on AWS, embracing a DevOps mindset as we continually progress towards true Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). Compensation & Schedule: - Pay Rate: $50 – $55 per hour - Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM PST, Monday to Friday - Contract Duration: 12 Months - Engagement Options: Payroll, Independent Contractor, Corporation to Corporation (C2C) - Location: Remote (Canada) Application Questions: - How many years of professional experience do you have working with React.js? - How many years of professional experience do you have working with PHP? - How many years of experience do you have with TypeScript? - Do you have experience developing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure Pipelines)? - How comfortable are you working in a Linux or macOS command-line environment?
