Requirements
Must:
- Actively working towards a degree or certification in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related area.
- Fundamental understanding of AI principles (Large Language Models, machine learning, AI agents).
- Proficiency with one or more significant AI tools such as ChatGPT, CoPilot, or Claude.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, ERP, or quoting systems (preferred).
- Experience in working with APIs and automation platforms (preferred).
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL (preferred).
- Understanding of CNC Machining or Fanuc Robotics (preferred).
- Experience with data visualization applications, particularly Power BI or equivalents (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Assess current business workflows and pinpoint AI implementation opportunities.
- Support the integration of AI solutions to enhance quoting precision and speed.
- Investigate AI agent frameworks to streamline workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
- Create and evaluate internal AI assistants tailored to specific business applications.
- Propose and develop automation strategies to minimize manual tasks.
- Examine historical quoting data to reveal trends and predictive metrics.
- Construct models or tools to refine cost estimation and margin forecasting.
- Design dashboards or reporting mechanisms for monitoring performance.
- Organize, clean, and analyze manufacturing and operational datasets.
- Potentially develop scripts to enhance Business Intelligence tools using available MSSQL data.
- Investigate new AI tools and present informed recommendations.
- Assess AI platforms with regards to cost, security, and return on investment.
- Deliver findings and strategic implementation plans to leadership.
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an AI Systems Intern in Johnson Creek, WI. This full-time position is primarily suited for summer, with flexible hours available during academic periods. As a part of our team, you will collaborate closely with leadership and technical experts to design and deploy AI solutions that elevate operational efficiency and streamline software development processes. This role aims to provide hands-on experience in a real-world business context, enabling you to take the lead on impactful AI projects from conception to execution, while also presenting a potential pathway for long-term employment. Our internship comes with competitive compensation at an hourly rate of $18-20.
