Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field - Over 7 years of relevant experience in safety-critical sectors (e.g., aerospace, defense, medical, nuclear) - Proven skills in electromechanical and/or embedded software systems - Proficient in MATLAB programming and data analysis - Strong interpersonal abilities to build effective team relationships - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Capable of mentoring and developing junior engineers Desired: - Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field - Familiarity with RF systems, sensor data processing, position estimation, and tracking - Strong background in Linux within embedded and/or server environments - Experience with air traffic procedures and systems, including Eurocontrol or FAA - Expertise in requirements management, detailed design, and system/subsystem integration - Knowledge of networked systems, cybersecurity, and system hardening

Responsibilities

- Lead the development of primary and secondary radar products for global safety-critical airport surveillance - Conduct technical investigations and oversee high-level designs for new features and change requests - Create MATLAB tools for performance forecasting, verification, and system assessments - Innovate and propose new technologies to enhance product effectiveness - Produce and maintain specifications and documentation to support customer requirements and internal engineering processes - Mediate competing interests from diverse stakeholder groups - Collaborate with product development management to meet technical, cost, and schedule goals while managing risks - Guide and mentor junior engineers across the team and organization - Assist in preparing technical and cost proposals for upcoming projects - Potential for up to 10% domestic and international travel
