Security Operations Level 2 Engineer (MSP)

- Oversee daily security operations aligning with frameworks like NIST CSF and CIS Controls - Maintain incident response processes, security documentation, and standardized procedures - Conduct vulnerability scans, threat analyses, remediation settings, and risk assessments - Utilize core MSP tools such as Autotask PSA, Datto EDR, Inky, SaaS Alerts, and Dark Web ID/BullPhish ID - Ensure efficient alerting, logging, configuration, and automation - Collaborate with our external NOC on escalated issues, monitoring, and coordinated response efforts - Manage identity security for Azure AD / Entra ID, enforcing Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM) - Monitor identity-related security alerts, including risky logins and suspicious access events - Support Zero-Trust principles across cloud and hybrid systems - Oversee device enrollment and compliance for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android via Microsoft Intune - Develop and uphold Intune compliance policies, configuration profiles, and security baselines - Manage application deployment and security protocols - Solve compliance issues, enrollment challenges, and device-specific security weaknesses - Facilitate client support as a Level 2 Engineer, addressing compliance and governance needs - Produce security reports, audit-ready documentation, incident summaries, and advisory materials for clients - Aid in secure user lifecycle processes, MFA enforcement, endpoint security, and identity governance - Serve as a Level 2 escalation contact for security alerts and incidents - Provide assistance with investigations, threat containment, remediation, and post-incident evaluations - Partner with vendors, the external NOC, and internal teams to tackle active threats and enhance systems
