Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator specializing in VMware environments
- VMware certification (at least VCTA Data Center or equivalent)
- Extensive knowledge of VMware vSphere and virtualization technologies
- Practical experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2019/2022)
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems
- Understanding of enterprise storage solutions (e.g., NetApp)
- Strong grasp of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
- Experience with security tools such as endpoint protection and PAM solutions
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities across both hardware and software environments
- Experience with enterprise server hardware (e.g., HP, Cisco)
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage both physical and virtual server infrastructures
- Oversee and enhance VMware infrastructure and storage systems
- Continuously monitor system performance and proactively address issues
- Create and maintain server images along with backup and recovery protocols
- Ensure adherence to change management policies and procedures
- Maintain and document disaster recovery (DR) strategies
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to diagnose and fix technical problems
- Assess infrastructure requirements for new applications and systems
- Develop architecture diagrams and technical documentation
- Formulate project plans, timelines, and execution strategies
- Set up system alerts to guarantee high availability and system uptime
- Coordinate with vendors for effective troubleshooting and resolution
- Provide prompt support for service desk requests and escalations
- Engage in after-hours or weekend support as required
