Requirements
Must:

Responsibilities
- Improve and maintain an existing Python production application
- Spearhead the transition to a database-first architecture
- Design, develop, and refine complex SQL queries and data models
- Refactor application logic from Python into efficient database operations
- Create and oversee applications and databases in the Google Cloud Platform
- Assist in deploying, configuring, and performance tuning of cloud-based systems
- Ensure scalability, performance, and data integrity across applications
- Diagnose and resolve application and data-related challenges
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams on system enhancements
Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Python Developer with strong SQL capabilities to aid in the modernization of an existing production application. Our aim is to transition the system into a database-first architecture, placing crucial business logic and processing nearer to the database layer to enhance performance and scalability. Our ideal candidate has substantial experience with Python-based applications, advanced SQL, and Google Cloud Platform, while working closely with engineering teams to optimize data models and database structures. This position is hybrid and can be based in Des Moines, IA, Minneapolis, MN, Chandler, AZ, or Charlotte, NC.
