Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Over 5 years of experience in ETL development for enterprise data warehouse environments
- Proficient in Python/PySpark and SQL
- Practical experience with ETL tools such as IBM DataStage
- More than 5 years of experience in database programming and data processing
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, specifically in migration projects
- Strong grasp of data warehousing principles, architecture, and best practices
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain ETL pipelines and data solutions in accordance with industry standards
- Convert business requirements and data mapping documents into technical designs
- Create and execute unit tests; assist with system integration and regression testing
- Diagnose and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to discuss progress, risks, and obstacles
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and optimize data workflows
- Stay informed about new technologies and trends in data engineering
- Mentor junior developers and offer technical direction
- Lead specific projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery
Description
We are STAFFXPERT LLC, seeking an ETL Data Engineer for our client locations in Columbus, OH, Dallas, TX, Minneapolis, MN, and Tupelo, MS. This role centers around designing and modernizing enterprise data warehouse solutions, particularly in transitioning legacy ETL systems to cloud-based frameworks using AWS and Python. Our ideal candidate will have robust experience in ETL development, cloud migration, and best practices in data engineering. This position offers the opportunity to work onsite 4 days a week, with a focus on team collaboration and professional growth.
