Requirements
Must:
- 8 to 10 years of professional experience in Information Technology with a significant emphasis on cybersecurity.
- Minimum of 6 years working in cybersecurity architecture or engineering positions.
- Demonstrated proficiency as a Cybersecurity Solutions Architect.
- Practical experience with cloud security, especially in AWS settings.
- Robust knowledge of security monitoring tools, such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, NACs, and identity management systems.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms, preferably Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Comprehensive understanding of network protocols and monitoring tools.
- Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Capable of analyzing intricate security issues and executing effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert in cybersecurity, guiding the design and execution of the enterprise security architecture.
- Translate security strategies and operational needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead the installation and optimization of security tools, including SIEM platforms like Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Supervise the integration of new data sources, focusing on log ingestion, normalization, and indexing.
- Manage and enhance the security posture in cloud environments using Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions.
- Identify and address risks associated with Shadow IT and unauthorized cloud applications.
- Support AI security initiatives, including the validation and testing of security controls and guardrails.
- Contribute to the adoption and execution of Zero Trust security frameworks.
- Collaborate with various teams to execute strategic cybersecurity objectives.
- Define and monitor performance metrics to assess the efficacy of security tools and controls.
Description
We are STAFFXPERT LLC, seeking a Cybersecurity Architect for our client in Washington, DC / Manassas, VA. This hybrid role requires 2 to 3 days onsite with remote flexibility available. We are looking for an experienced cybersecurity professional to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise security solutions. You will be instrumental in enhancing cloud security, facilitating Zero Trust architecture, and ensuring comprehensive protection across modern IT environments, including those driven by AI systems.
