- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in engineering roles.
- Minimum of 5 years in project management roles.
- Education: A Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Design Patterns, and ANSI SQL.
- Proficient in AWS services such as EC2, SNS, SQS, SES, Pinpoint, Connect, API Gateway, and EKS.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization tools like Docker.
- Familiarity with database technologies, including MariaDB/MySQL and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB, Cassandra, and DynamoDB.
- Proven ability to create scalable, distributed systems in cloud environments and mentor other engineers.

Responsibilities
As a Principal Engineer I within our VCT - Design & Engineering team, focusing on Unified Customer Communications (UCC) development, you'll be tasked with identifying scalable solutions for customer communications through various channels, including Email, SMS, Autocall, PUSH notifications, and RCS. Your contributions will support pivotal Customer Operations and Marketing initiatives by constructing reliable, scalable, and secure system designs and configurations. You will collaborate with diverse business stakeholders, assist design teams, and provide insights to team leaders.
Daily tasks will involve:
- Actively supporting efforts to simplify and improve the customer experience.
- Designing, implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting systems within your area of responsibility.
- Analyzing existing system logic and making necessary documentation revisions.
- Testing and reviewing system designs.
- Offering engineering technical support to regional teams, ensuring adherence to technical integrations and standards.
- Mentoring technical staff and reviewing their work plans and designs for improvements.
- Complying with industry-specific regulations and company policies.
