Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in Information Security
- At least four (4) years of experience in Information Security operations
- Current security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or SANS GIAC (preferred)
- Oracle Certified Professional - Oracle Database Security Expert (preferred)
- Familiarity with Cyber Security Risk Management and assessment methodologies (preferred)
- Knowledge of AWS and cloud infrastructure (preferred)
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Proven expertise in database management or database security
- Experience with security assessment tools for Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational/NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in forensic methodologies and best practices for investigating cyber intrusions
- Strong comprehension of industry security standards and cyber security frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in managing security events and incidents within complex networks
- Exceptional leadership capabilities with an ability to collaborate across various departments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside good presentation capabilities
- Understanding of file storage systems such as block filesystems, NFS, and S3
- Problem-solving skills with an ability to manage conflicting priorities and navigate complexity
Responsibilities
- Design and implement queries and use cases to analyze security-relevant log data and generate alerts for potential threats
- Lead the security incident response lifecycle for any cyber security incidents affecting the companys databases and services
- Provide timely updates to security management in accordance with the Incident Response Plan
- Manage the integration and upkeep of scanning services with SEIM, ASPM, and vulnerability management systems
- Maintain and monitor threat intelligence data pertinent to the companys networks and systems
- Conduct proactive threat hunting for vulnerabilities impacting databases and services
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of security countermeasures with relevant teams
- Formulate and recommend security policies, standards, and configurations to the security governance committee
- Conduct advanced forensic analyses and gather data evidence for critical security incidents
- Recommend, design, and implement solutions for Database Security
- Oversee security scanning infrastructure and mentor others in its management and support
- Establish security requirements for new projects and conduct security testing before production deployment
- Ensure adherence to security standards, policies, and procedures, while following relevant regulations
