Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree or Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience - Minimum of five (5) years in information security - At least four (4) years of experience in information security operations - Current security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or SANS GIAC are preferred - Oracle Certified Professional - Oracle Database Security Expert is a plus - Knowledge of computer forensics and cyber security risk management methodologies - Familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure - Excellent command of the English language for clear communication - Proven expertise in database management and security - Experience with security scan assessment tools for databases like Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or others - Understanding of preventing security exploits and responding to attacks - Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to manage competing priorities - Advanced knowledge of forensic methodologies and investigation best practices - Familiarity with industry security standards and cyber security frameworks - Leadership abilities to coordinate across functions and drive results - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities - Understanding of file storage systems, including block filesystems and NFS

Responsibilities

- Design and implement queries to correlate security-related log data and generate alerts on potential security incidents - Lead the security incident response lifecycle for cybersecurity events affecting databases and services - Provide timely updates to security management per Charters Incident Response Plan - Integrate and maintain scanning services with SEIM, ASPM, and vulnerability management systems - Monitor and implement threat intelligence data relevant to our networks and systems - Proactively identify security threats and vulnerabilities affecting databases and services - Develop and coordinate the implementation of security countermeasures with relevant teams - Recommend security policies, standards, and configurations to the security governance committee - Conduct advanced forensic analysis and gather evidence for critical security incidents - Design and implement security systems and tools for database security management - Develop security requirements for new projects and perform security testing prior to production - Ensure compliance with security standards and relevant regulations
