Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience - At least five (5) years of experience in information security - Minimum four (4) years in information security operations - Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or SANS GIAC are preferred - Oracle Certified Professional - Oracle Database Security Expert is a plus - Knowledge of computer forensics and cyber security risk management methodologies - Familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure - Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English clearly and professionally - Expertise in database management or security, particularly with tools like Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational or NoSQL databases - Strong grasp of security exploit prevention, detection of security attacks, and response to incidents - Advanced understanding of forensic methodologies to investigate intrusions and preserve evidence - Comprehensive knowledge of database administration and industry security standards - Proven experience in managing security events for complex networks - Strong leadership abilities, with a collaborative approach to achieving results - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with good presentation capabilities - Understanding of file storage systems including block filesystems, NFS, and S3 - Excellent problem-solving skills with the capability to handle competing priorities and complex situations

Responsibilities

- Design and implement queries and use cases to monitor security-related system and application log data for potential threats - Lead the security incident response lifecycle for cyber security events impacting our databases and services - Provide timely updates to security management per our Incident Response Plan - Oversee the integration and maintenance of scanning services with SEIM, ASPM, and vulnerability management systems - Implement, manage, and monitor threat intelligence data relevant to our networks and systems - Proactively search for security threats and vulnerabilities that may impact our databases and services - Develop and coordinate security counter-measures with relevant teams - Create and recommend security policies, standards, and system configurations to the security governance committee - Conduct advanced forensic analysis and data gathering for critical security incidents - Recommend, design, and deploy security systems and tools for Database Security - Manage security scanning infrastructure and mentoring colleagues in system management and support - Define security requirements for new projects and conduct security testing prior to production deployment - Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and procedures, while adhering to applicable regulations
