- Experience:
- Over 8 years of experience in IT, focusing on designing and configuring systems and applications, particularly in development (including RESTful service development, microservices, Spring Boot).
- At least 6 years of experience with relational databases (SQL-based), understanding various areas of IT to grasp the end-to-end lifecycle of a system.
- Education:
- BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience in the telecommunications sector.
- Familiarity with a variety of technology stacks and platforms.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Developer Professional Certification.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in object-oriented programming and prototypal inheritance.
- In-depth knowledge of the Spring framework (Spring Boot).
- Advanced skills in programming languages, particularly Java 8.
- Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and producing shell scripts.
- Comprehensive understanding of web service development (both RESTful and SOAP).
- Solid knowledge of Tomcat server, unit testing frameworks, and continuous integration tools.
- Proficient with Maven and Git version control.
- Advanced understanding of network design, architecture, protocols, and topology (TCP/IP and OSI Model).
- Familiar with network devices and basic appliances.
- Knowledge of network design software, such as Visio.
- Familiarity with at least two application server platforms (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBOSS, etc.).
- Proficient in at least three programming languages (Java 8, JavaScript, C/C++, ObjectiveC, Perl, Python, ASP/.Net, Go, React, Angular, Hadoop, SQL).
- Knowledge of at least three development or test automation tools (ANT, Maven, Hudson/Jenkins, JUnit, JMeter, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge in Unified Inventory Management and Oracle design studio, including cartridge modeling and UI customization using ADF.
- Understanding of UIM Core Product APIs and Rulesets architecture.
- Skills:
- Basic understanding of OSS/BSS infrastructure technologies and concepts.
- Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn new technologies swiftly.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong lateral thinking skills for addressing complex technical challenges creatively.
- Adaptability to dynamic technological environments.

Responsibilities
In this role as a Principal Developer I on the IT Service Activation (ITSA) team, I will be responsible for engineering tasks that uphold and improve our telecommunications and signal processing hardware, software, and electrical systems. I will collaborate with technical operations personnel on system design and configuration, while also providing counsel to design teams and team leaders.
