Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in information security
- At least four (4) years of experience in information security operations
- Current security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or SANS GIAC are preferred
- Oracle Certified Professional - Oracle Database Security Expert
- Knowledge of computer forensics and cybersecurity risk management
- Understanding of AWS and cloud infrastructure
- Exceptional English language proficiency for effective communication
- Demonstrated experience with database management or security
- Proficiency in security scan assessment tools for various database systems
- Advanced knowledge of forensic methodologies and cybersecurity standards
- Proven capability in managing information security events for large networks
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to foster collaboration across teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Familiarity with file storage systems like block filesystems, NFS, and S3
- Problem-solving skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities and changes
Responsibilities
- Design and implement queries and use cases to analyze security-related system and application log data
- Lead the security incident response lifecycle for cybersecurity events affecting our databases and services
- Provide timely updates to management per our Incident Response Plan
- Integrate and maintain scanning services with SIEM, ASPM, and vulnerability management systems
- Monitor and manage threat intelligence data from relevant sources
- Conduct proactive searches for potential security threats and vulnerabilities
- Develop and coordinate the execution of security countermeasures with relevant teams
- Recommend and develop security policies, standards, and system configurations
- Execute advanced forensic analysis and gather data evidence for critical security incidents
- Recommend, design, and implement security systems and tools focusing on database security
- Manage security scanning infrastructure and mentor others in management practices
- Establish security requirements for new projects and oversee security testing before production
- Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and regulations.
