Requirements
Must:
- MA or MS in a technical field such as Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or related degree AND 10 years of relevant experience; OR
- BA/BS degree in a technical field such as Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or related degree AND 15 years of relevant experience
- Degree must be in Geospatial Information & Services (GIS), Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in geospatial analysis and/or geospatial information systems.
- Current/active TS/SCI security clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standard location analysis applications such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, MapBox, GeoServer, etc.
- Experience in managing spatial relational databases including Oracle, MSSQL, or PostGreSQL/PostGIS.
- Extensive experience with geographically-derived assessments, enterprise data integration, spatial data governance, and metadata management.
- Strong ability to present geospatial information through multimedia presentations and written documents.
- Proven experience with coding in Python, R, SAS, Java, or other languages for custom analytical workflows.
- Experience in coordination and collaboration with industry partners on technical projects and software assessments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced geospatial analysis using GIS tools to facilitate intelligence, operational planning, and mission objectives.
- Oversee, maintain, and query spatial relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL/PostGIS) to ensure data integrity.
- Create geographically derived assessments and implement data integration strategies to enhance analytic and decision-making efforts.
- Establish and uphold spatial data governance and metadata standards across geospatial datasets.
- Generate high-quality geospatial visualizations, cartographic outputs, and analytic reports for diverse audiences.
- Develop custom geoprocessing tools and analytical processes using Python, R, SAS, Java, or similar scripting languages.
- Administer and apply standard GIS platforms (Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, MapBox, GeoServer, etc.) for spatial analysis support.
- Assess, coordinate, and collaborate with industry partners on geospatial technologies and software evaluations.
- Present geospatial insights through multimedia briefings and technical presentations for strategic decision-making.
- Adhere strictly to security protocols, including operation within TS/SCI/SSBI environments.
