Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Over 5 years of experience in data engineering or a closely related field
- Proficient programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Practical experience with Apache Spark and big data frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud services including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong grasp of data warehousing and ETL/ELT procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and implement scalable data pipelines and workflows utilizing Databricks
- Develop and enhance Apache Spark applications for extensive data processing
- Connect data platforms with various internal and external data sources
- Maintain data quality, integrity, and governance across all systems
- Improve database performance and manage large datasets
- Oversee and sustain the Databricks environment
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and refine data pipelines and workflows
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to facilitate advanced analytics and machine learning projects
- Establish best practices pertaining to version control, testing, and documentation
- Mentor junior team members and participate in knowledge sharing
