Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is mandatory; experience may substitute for a degree.
- ITIL Certification is highly desirable.
- At least 5 years of experience supervising an IT service desk or in a comparable role.
- Proven track record in leading and managing a productive team.
- Strong ability to develop a cohesive team and manage personnel effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding of the strategic direction for the service desk and the capacity to establish long-term goals.
- Proficient in balancing and planning immediate team activities.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices for service management.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
- Skilled in marketing and advocating for the service desk, securing necessary resources and support.
- Tactical understanding of the organizations business operations.
- Critical thinking abilities to evaluate systems and make necessary adjustments.
- Effective time management skills while exemplifying leadership and setting a positive team culture.
- Valid drivers license and capability to drive for company purposes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the service desk.
- Meet customer service and support performance targets and expectations.
- Collaborate with the Service Desk Supervisor to develop and train service desk staff.
- Guarantee that all service desk procedures are well-documented, consistently reviewed, and regularly enhanced.
- Conduct and disseminate findings from service and operational performance evaluations.
- Advocate for the service desk with upper management to ensure its recognition as an essential business asset.
- Coordinate and liaise with all relevant stakeholders, including the support desk team, customers, and interdepartmental teams involved in service desk operations.
- Create and oversee the service desk budget.
- Provide direction on complex matters and act as the ultimate escalation point.
- Assist in the management and resolution of service desk tickets as necessary.
- Engage in departmental and/or organization-wide projects.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Description
We are excited to present an opportunity to join our team as an IT Service Desk Manager in Colorado Springs. This full-time role is a 3-month contract with the potential for full-time employment. Our service desk plays a vital role as the primary contact for all IT-related inquiries and issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. We are committed to building a strong, effective service desk team recognized throughout the organization for its contributions to IT success. The compensation for this position ranges from $37.50 to $39.42 per hour during the contract phase, with a permanent salary range of $78K to $82K plus full benefits upon conversion.
