Junior Network Engineer (Cisco/Juniper)

- High proficiency in MS Office tools. - Strong critical thinking abilities. - Self-starter with diplomatic skills. - Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. - Adaptable to a dynamic work environment. - Reliable and dependable individual. - Preferred previous experience with government networks. - Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocol, and routing/switching configurations. - Familiarity with Cisco and/or Juniper routing/switching platforms and operating systems. - Experience in implementing converged networks including VoIP and VTC utilizing QoS. - Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues such as hardware failures and connectivity problems. - Knowledge of network authentication methods and technologies; experience with Cisco ISE or similar preferred. - Strong computer skills and innovative problem-solving capabilities. - Familiarity with enterprise incident and change management systems. - VoIP component configuration and deployment experience is advantageous. - Understanding of secure network architectures and encryption technologies is preferred. - General knowledge of systems and enterprise storage technologies. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision. - Valid Drivers License is required. - Must be available for occasional after-hours call-ins for emergency responses. - Active DoD Top Secret security clearance is mandatory. - DOD 8140 IAT II - CompTIA Security+CE or higher is required. - Vendor network certification such as CompTIA Net+CE or CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is necessary.
