Requirements
Must:
- Proficient understanding of federal cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as:
- FISMA
- NIST
- Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)
- Experience in supporting system authorization and compliance activities
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and teamwork skills
- Capability to work effectively both autonomously and within diverse teams
- Bachelors Degree in a related discipline and 12-15 years of relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Review, develop, and maintain security documentation, including System Characterization Documents (SCDs), System Security Plans (SSPs), Privacy Threshold Assessments (PTAs), and System Authorization Briefings (SABs)
- Assist in the Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) process and ongoing system authorization tasks
- Manage and oversee the authorized software application inventory
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Software Board (ESB) and engineering groups to facilitate updates to the technology product roadmap
- Research, draft, and revise technical documentation such as system specifications and interface requirement documents
- Aid in the design and integration of Zero Trust architecture
- Engage in engineering reviews, providing security-focused insights to enhance compliance and security
- Partner with cross-functional engineering and program teams to ensure compliance with federal security standards
