Requirements
Must:
- Be at least 17 years old
- Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Be a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Ability to commit to full-time service, Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and an average of 2 Saturdays a month. AmeriCorps members are expected to serve approximately 42.5 hours per week to complete 1700 hours of service during a 10-month term.
Responsibilities
- As a Project Lead, rebuild, construct, and reinforce the homes of disaster survivors while leading and mentoring volunteers in various construction phases.
- In the role of Volunteer Coordinator, recruit, and manage volunteer visits while communicating the significance of their contributions and inspiring them to support our mission.
- As a Supply & Logistics Coordinator, enhance the efficiency of SBPs warehouse and delivery operations, ensuring timely supply distribution to service locations.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients as a Client Services Coordinator, providing support, assessing needs, and guiding them through the application and construction process.
- As a Disaster Corps Project Lead, exemplify SBPs commitment to rapid response by deploying to disaster-affected areas and assisting with local recovery efforts when not deployed.
