Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience
- Masters degree with at least three (3) years of relevant experience
- PhD with no prior experience accepted, or four (4) years of experience can be considered in place of a degree
- Completion of a military or civilian accredited TERPS course, with verification required
- Direct, recent involvement in TERPS development
- Solid understanding of DOD TERPS, ICAO/NATO, and FAA regulations, policies, and procedures
- Familiarity with fixed-wing and helicopter TERPS, as well as fixed-based and foreign IFP experience
- Proficiency in clear and concise technical writing
- Ability to deliver effective technical presentations and conduct project monitoring and reporting
- Strong coordination skills to engage with project stakeholders
- Active Interim Secret Security Clearance, with the capacity to obtain and keep a full Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Analyze and create Army Instrument Approach Procedures (IAPs) in accordance with Army, FAA, ICAO, and PANS-OPS standards
- Assess host nation Instrument Flight Procedures (IFPs) to ensure compliance with TERPS and PANS-OPS criteria
- Assist in managing actions related to IFPs, airfield developments, obstacle evaluations, and airspace matters
- Evaluate the implications of proposed obstructions, modified or shut-down airports, NAVAID outages, and changes affecting IFPs, airspace, or facility issues
- Utilize programs such as AIS, GPD, ASPS, DTED, DVOF, and DAFIF for evaluating and overseeing various initiatives
- Maintain Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) for airfields and IFPs in alignment with U.S. Army requirements
- Collaborate with USAASA to assess airfield engineering and operational standards concerning IFPs
- Coordinate with others on requested alterations to airport data for Army IFPs
