Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field with at least nine (9) years of experience in systems integration and systems engineering.
- Proven experience in leading hardware/software and space/ground integration efforts.
- Familiarity with model-based system engineering tools and methodologies.
- Background in systems architecting and lifecycle support.
- Expertise in applying agile development methodologies.
- Must possess an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI) and be eligible for SCI access, enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program if applicable.
- Willingness to consent to a Polygraph examination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Programs.
- Advanced degree in engineering or a closely related field (desired).
- Experience in the National Security Space or Space Control mission area (preferred).
- Previous work within U.S. Government weapons system program offices (preferred).
- Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, ITEA CTEP, or Agile PM/PO (desired).
Responsibilities
- Provide systems engineering expertise throughout the entire lifecycle from concept development to operational deployment for both Space-based and Ground-based systems.
- Oversee technical development efforts including design, development, manufacturing, integration, testing, and sustainment using both traditional and agile methodologies.
- Create operational concepts, establish requirements, and develop architectural designs; refine system architectures and propose verification and mitigation strategies.
- Perform model-based systems engineering, modeling, simulation, and analysis as required.
- Maintain Configuration Management of the programs technical baseline.
- Manage risk assessment processes, identify potential program risks, and recommend/implement risk reduction strategies.
