Requirements

Must:
- Active Secret clearance. - Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. - Over 10 years of experience in satellite systems, space systems, spacecraft development, or ground segments. - More than 10 years of experience on DoD programs. - At least 5 years of experience in a space acquisitions environment. - Direct experience in developing or managing Interface Control Documents for complex systems. - Strong familiarity with spacecraft subsystems (e.g., avionics, payloads, RF communications, power, GNC, thermal, propulsion). - Ability to read and create schematics, interface diagrams, and data communication structures. - Proficiency in systems engineering tools (DOORS, Jama, Cameo, etc.). - Excellent skills in technical writing, documentation, and communication. - Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication abilities, along with presentation skills. - Proven capability to clearly express ideas, recommendations, and options to customers, senior leadership, and stakeholders. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Due to security requirements, work is necessitated to be on-site in a secure facility.

Responsibilities

- Develop, author, and maintain Satellite Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for spacecraft, ground systems, payloads, and cross-system interfaces. - Collaborate with the Configuration Management team to prepare for Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs). - Create interface diagrams, data dictionaries, message formats, command and telemetry mappings, and system-level interface descriptions. - Identify interface risks and drive technical issue resolution among engineering teams. - Support system integration and testing by providing authoritative interface documentation and clarification. - Ensure compliance of documentation with best practices, program standards, and regulatory requirements. - Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in reviewing Prime contract Change Proposals. - Manage and coordinate Interface Control Working Groups (ICWGs) to ensure consistent communication across all stakeholders. - Collaborate closely with the MSEIT modeling team to ensure models align with the technical baseline including ICDs and requirement flow down. - Develop briefings, plans, papers, and other documentation relevant to acquisition and technical requirements in support of governmental decision-making, collaborating with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force.
