Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Over 9 years of pertinent experience in an Enterprise IT Environment.
- Capability to secure and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Practical experience with Safe Feature Manipulation Engine (FME), Informatica, or comparable ETL tools.
- Proficiency in Oracle or Postgres database development, including SQL and PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase (SDE) or similar relational database systems.
- Knowledge of spatial data formats such as ESRI ST_Geometry, File Geodatabase, and shapefiles.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Tools, including ArcPro.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and documentation.
- Strong communication skills, time management, decision-making, and basic task organization skills.
- Desired skills in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Python.
Responsibilities
- Develop spatial data structures, data loading business rules, and FME ETL models to import geospatial data from source systems.
- Provide database support with expertise in Oracle or Postgres, ESRI SDE, and ESRI File geodatabase formats.
- Address and resolve data issues as they arise.
- Document ETL processes and data requirements while ensuring compliance with metadata standards.
- Collaborate with data stewards from government agencies and commercial entities to address data needs for the U.S. Forest Service.
- Monitor daily ETL processes and troubleshoot any emerging ETL issues.
- Note: Position is fully remote.
