Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree or a related field and at least 9 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 4 additional years of experience can substitute for the degree.
- Current Top Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI and willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.
- Expertise in developing technical requirements, systems engineering, and managing development contractors for the creation, design, integration, and testing of space systems.
- Proficient in verifying and validating requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of technical requirements and systems engineering processes while supervising contractors in the development, design, production, integration, and testing of space systems.
- Manage payload integration and oversee interface control management.
- Facilitate the integration of numerous complex space systems, including ground segment integration and operational deployment.
- Oversee and negotiate interface control documents with external partners.
- Conduct systems architecting and engineering tasks including defining system requirements, managing interfaces, data architecture development, systems integration, performance and lifecycle cost analysis, and refining operational concepts.
- Ensure requirements verification and validation are completed thoroughly.
- Assess program risks and offer actionable insights to the chief engineer and program manager.
- Collaborate independently with representatives from government program offices, FFRDC, SETA, and contractor teams.
