Requirements
Must:
- Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or a related field (9 years with Bachelors; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD).
- Proven ability to create solutions for broad and abstract topics, clearly articulating issues for the customer along with analysis and recommendations.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team; able to effectively engage with contractor, SETA, FFRDC, and government colleagues.
- Excellent communicator with refined interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
- Skilled in collaborating and coordinating with various stakeholders and building consensus.
- Proactive in addressing customer needs with minimal supervision; adept at managing multiple tasks and deliverables.
- Knowledgeable in orbital mechanics and the functions of different orbits.
- Experience in government or commercial satellite programs.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team setting without supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist the customer in overseeing operations and maintaining daily monitoring and trending of operational systems.
- Provide expert guidance on operations and resolving anomalies.
- Devise creative approaches to leverage system architecture effectively.
- Supervise the integration of vehicle and subsystem functionalities; analyze schedules, capabilities, and operational requirements.
- Contribute to the planning and management of the governments system engineering activities.
- Review documentation and represent the government in relevant forums to facilitate streamlined delivery of new capabilities and integration standardization.
- Conduct strategic evaluations of system designs through all developmental phases, including conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs.
- Engage daily and as needed with program office management.
- Understand the operational capabilities, limitations, and modes of the system and its subsystems.
- Examine specifications, both for the system and subsystems, as well as Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitor future developments and ongoing operations at the production facility.
- Participate in developer reviews, pre-tests, pre-shipping, and other necessary meetings.
