Requirements
Must:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics with at least 9 years of experience; Masters Degree with a minimum of 7 years; PhD with 4 or more years of experience.
- Strong understanding of Signals Intelligence satellite systems and architectures.
- Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with NRO, IC, and DoD satellite programs, as well as acquisition and program management processes.
- Knowledge of translating various mission domain awareness operational requirements into satellite specifications and providing mission analysis support for legacy, current, and future satellite programs.
- Willingness to travel domestically.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert mission analysis and technical support to establish spacecraft and ground requirements, aiding in concept development for new capabilities, and creating models for mission data analysis.
- Conduct diverse mission analyses including RF, signal processing, orbital, geolocation, antenna, frequency management, and communications performance.
- Assess expected performance in relation to mission requirements.
- Monitor, track, and analyze mission performance, making recommendations for enhancements.
- Collaborate on requirements definition, system architecting, interface and data architectures, and operational performance analysis.
- Evaluate capabilities and requirements regarding geolocation potential, signal collection analysis, and coverage metrics.
- Assist in end-to-end performance evaluation to assess differences among various architectural frameworks.
- Research and validate enterprise-level requirements applicable to satellite architectures.
- Aid in planning studies, requirements development, compliance analyses, and verification.
- Perform mission analysis on satellite architectures for coverage and performance metrics.
- Provide guidance on physical science aspects supporting multiple mission domains and battle space awareness initiatives.
- Support launch and satellite on-orbit testing activities.
- Plan and carry out interface testing for final system verification and delivery.
- Foster collaborative relationships with prime contractors and subject matter experts in payload and ground systems.
- Review and provide feedback on complex technical design documentation.
- Engage with mission analysis and acquisition teams for comprehensive project progress.
- Collaborate on engineering standards, space frequency usage, modulation techniques, and mission specifications with armed services and agencies.
- Prepare reports, white papers, and briefings for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Develop and sustain tools and databases for satellite mission assessment tasks.
