Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree with 5+ years of experience; Masters degree with 3+ years of experience; or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. - Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status. - Proficient in Microsoft PowerShell, Active Directory, Windows Server (2019 & 2022) system log analysis, and Windows 11 Workstation OS administration. - Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and capability to troubleshoot network communication errors from the command line. - Required experience in scripting and automation. - Practical experience in implementing, managing, or supporting Group Policy and Object Attributes. - Familiarity with best practices in Microsoft Windows Server administration. - Ability to independently handle technical service requests using enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy. - Experience in resolving intricate technical issues that impact organizational operations.

Responsibilities

- Lead Windows system administration tasks related to application migrations, upgrades, and new integrations. - Support annual updates to DISA STIG benchmarks/baseline configurations on Windows Servers. - Provide operational support for IIS middle-tier application hosting. - Enforce application control and security using AppLocker. - Deliver senior-level support for System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including packaging and distribution of software packages. - Recommend modifications to existing Group Policies (GPO) and implement new ones. - Support the System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) environment by applying workflow automation to improve SCOM operations. - Assist with Windows Workstations imaging lifecycle, baseline configurations, and Operating System (OS) issue resolution. - Take the lead in resolving organization-wide outages affecting Windows Servers and Workstations. - Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate Windows system administration and enhance efficiencies. - Create and maintain system design diagrams for implementation changes. - Manage technical work assignments through ServiceNow Changes and Tasks. - Document standard operating procedures and help create new operational instructions. - Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support. - Provide assistance for planned changes after hours as required. - Take part in periodic disaster recovery exercises. - Respond to all customer inquiries within established service level agreements (SLA) and mean time to resolution (MTTR). - Collaborate with vendors as necessary to solve uncommon and complex problems. - Engage with federal clients to plan for future upgrades and implementations as well as to support daily operations.
