Senior Virtual Desktop Engineer

Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience; four (4) additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree
- U.S. citizenship with a current TS/SCI clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ with CE)
- VMware Certified Professional certification (Data Center v7.x), particularly with the Omnissa suite
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement desktop virtualization technologies and solutions
- Manage applications and software for desktops/laptops within the VDI environment
- Collaborate with network, server, and security teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain consistent configuration
- Oversee automated software deployment, including image creation and compatibility
- Ensure adherence to security compliance through patching, encryption, and configuration management
- Address issues with end-user hardware or software in the virtual environment
- Work with technicians to develop and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and conduct testing
- Investigate and apply knowledge on emerging technologies and best practices in VDI architecture
- Create documentation related to VDI environments
