Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 9 years of relevant experience
- An additional six (6) years of experience may substitute for the degree
- Active Interim Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Proficiency in systems engineering processes including requirements identification, documentation, analysis, and traceability
- Demonstrated capability in developing and refining system requirements in accordance with MIL-STD-6016, MIL-STD-3011, and other military standards
- Extensive experience in creating and managing technical documentation such as System Requirements Documents (SRDs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Understanding of tactical communication systems and military interoperability criteria, particularly related to Link 16 and JREAP
- Familiarity with requirements management tools like DOORS or Jama
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of cross-team collaboration to resolve technical issues
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for articulating requirements and technical concepts to diverse audiences
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and improve system requirements that meet operational demands and military specifications, including MIL-STD-6016 and MIL-STD-3011
- Convert military standards and protocols into clear, testable, and developer-ready requirements
- Create and maintain essential system documentation, ensuring it aligns with intended functionality and compliance
- Analyze and break down intricate operational scenarios into actionable use cases and functional requirements
- Collaborate with software developers and testers to ensure that requirements are comprehensible, implementable, and verifiable
- Participate in requirements reviews and design discussions to ensure system architecture aligns with operational needs and messaging standards
- Address any gaps or ambiguities in requirements through stakeholder engagement and expert collaboration
- Provide expertise on Link 16 and JREAP operational scenarios and messaging standards to guarantee appropriate implementation and interoperability
- Support system validation and verification activities, including the development of test plans and ensuring standards compliance
