Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical/Computer, Systems, or Industrial Engineering preferred) - At least 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, preferably in DoD or NAVAIR environments - Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes, especially within the DoD 5000 Acquisition Lifecycle - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with problem-solving capabilities - Proven ability to operate independently and as part of cross-functional teams - Interim Clearance required to start - Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerBi) - Experience in one of the following areas: - Foreign Military Sales (FMS) - Engineering Change Proposals - Ship Integration

- Lead and coordinate technical efforts to ensure stakeholder requirements are effectively translated into lifecycle-optimized systems - Manage system interfaces, ensuring compatibility and performance - Conduct system architecture design and integration planning to satisfy all requirements - Ensure system design aligns with functional and physical requirements across hardware, software, data, and infrastructure - Provide expert technical advice to interdisciplinary teams, including systems, hardware, software, testing, cybersecurity, and safety - Apply comprehensive knowledge of Systems Engineering for major weapon systems in accordance with the DoD 5000 Acquisition framework - Facilitate technical reviews and significant milestones (SRRs, PDRs, Milestone A, etc.), ensuring technical rigor and compliance - Assist in developing technical guidance, instructions, and program documentation (white papers, decision memos, technical assessments) - Collaborate with a diverse team of stakeholders (engineering, logistics, manufacturing, program leadership) to address complex challenges - Engage in vital program activities, including Risk Management, Configuration Management, Trade-off Analysis, Technical Reviews, and Modeling & Simulation - Provide technical oversight and integration direction to multidisciplinary teams (systems, test, cyber, safety, hardware, software) - Conduct risk assessments related to system architecture and integration planning - Develop and implement strategies for risk mitigation to promote program stability - Prepare and review essential documentation, including technical proposals, engineering reports, drawings, and briefings - Oversee integration, testing, and evaluation of systems and subsystems - Conduct performance testing and validation to ensure systems fulfill operational requirements - Prepare in-depth technical documentation such as specifications, test plans, and engineering reports - Communicate with stakeholders across program offices, fleet users, contractors, and industry - Simplify complex technical concepts for senior leadership, including non-technical decision-makers - Foster collaboration between engineering, logistics, testing, and acquisition teams - Deliver regular progress reports and presentations to program management and stakeholders

In this position, you will be vital in designing, developing, integrating, and deploying advanced systems that support complex naval aviation platforms and technologies. Our division is charged with managing systems engineering, planning, analysis, and requirements assessment. Your contributions will enhance aircraft systems, facilitate ship integration, and drive innovative enabling technologies. Youll directly support the execution of the Department of Defense (DoD) 5000 Acquisition Framework for significant weapons systems, focusing on ensuring our systems meet performance, safety, and compatibility requirements throughout their lifecycle.
