Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 14+ years of experience; Masters degree with 12+ years; PhD or JD with 9+ years. Experience may substitute for degree.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Active Top Secret Clearance required at start.
- Must be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance post-hire.
- Previous experience in roles such as cloud engineer, cloud administrator, DevOps engineer, or similar capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) or containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Basic proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation purposes.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies like Terraform or Ansible for configuration management.
- Proficiency with Linux system administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices for safeguarding platforms.
- Capability to lift/move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) on planes and ships.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain secure cloud infrastructure within AWS GovCloud environments.
- Configure and oversee container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Execute Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions utilizing tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Ensure secure data flow across diverse systems while adhering to DoD cybersecurity standards and STIG requirements.
- Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to enhance deployment pipelines and container management.
- Optimize cloud resources to maximize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues within cloud, networking, and container environments.
- Work alongside AI/ML engineers and software developers to deploy and integrate advanced analytics platforms and tools.
- Maintain thorough technical documentation to support system operations and compliance.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
