Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience - 14+ years of experience in IT/network security engineering support; 12 years with a masters degree - Over 10 years of experience in network infrastructure implementation and maintenance - Strong analytical skills and proficiency in understanding network flows and the OSI model - Extensive experience implementing large-scale enterprise or global network solutions - Expertise in BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GRE, DMVPN, IPSEC, MACSEC, Multicast, and Unicast - Advanced knowledge of Cisco network platforms including routers, switches, VPN concentrators, and network management systems (ISR/ASR/Nexus) - Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts - Proven experience working directly with government clients - Strong technical writing and documentation skills, proficient in tools like MS Visio, MS Word, and MS Excel - Active Secret clearance with the capability to obtain a Top Secret clearance - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is preferred - Familiarity with SD-WAN and cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services is advantageous - Experience with network monitoring tools like NeuralStar, HPNA, or Cisco Catalyst Center is a plus

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the DoS customer to design, test, and implement enterprise network transport solutions using Cisco routers and switches - Develop and implement network engineering solutions aligned with Enterprise Architecture standards - Work closely with technical subject matter experts on organization-wide solutions, participate in technical working groups, and contribute to advisory panels - Review network configuration change requests with peers prior to deployment - Execute configuration changes as needed - Monitor and manage service requests, ensuring timely resolution and closure of tickets - Document network infrastructure components and create relevant drawings - Aid in the development and documentation of procedures and processes
