Requirements

Must:
- An active DOD Secret clearance is essential for this role - Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science, with a minimum of 15 years of overall experience - A minimum of 7 years of experience in government weapon systems acquisitions and program management and/or contract management within the Department of Defense - Proven experience in leading DoD acquisition programs through major milestones for an ACAT I program - Strong understanding of DoD acquisition regulations and processes, with the ability to apply these policies to program strategies - Familiarity with DoDI 5000.85 and DoDI 5000.87 - Proven capability to collaborate effectively with DoD customers - Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

- Advise Program/Project Managers on acquisition strategies, timelines, contracting, budgeting, and execution - Create, draft, customize, and manage overarching program planning and execution documents in accordance with DoDI 5000.02 / Acquisition Framework and relevant DoD Instructions - Assist in developing the Acquisition Strategy Plan (ASP), Requests for Information (RFI)/Market Research, Request for Proposals (RPP), and compliance documentation - Lead and coordinate all activities related to acquisitions in preparation for Planning/Execution events - Generate regular status updates, conduct periodic staff meetings and technical interchange meetings, and create acquisition plans and executive briefings - Provide evaluations and assessments of contractor design and execution reviews to monitor progress, risks, and capability to meet mission objectives - Facilitate program element coordination, oversight, and provide advice regarding funding commitments and expenditures
