Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience or a Masters degree with seven (7) years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute for formal education.
- In-depth proficiency in symmetric and asymmetric encryption techniques (e.g., AES, RSA, ECC), as well as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Post Quantum Encryption.
- Demonstrated ability to manage security across diverse IT infrastructures, including local and cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of essential network transport security concepts and protocols (symmetric vs. asymmetric encryption, hashing, digital signatures, TLS/SSL, IPsec, SSH).
- Capability to diagnose complex connectivity and encryption challenges across multiple platforms.
- Excellent documentation skills with the ability to communicate security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with classified or confidential information handling.
Responsibilities
- Manage the security of network tunnels and data-in-transit protocols, including oversight of VPN certificates and configuration settings.
- Design and execute automated workflows for managing security credentials to minimize human error and adhere to security protocols.
- Ensure access aligns with the organizations identity management framework, logging and auditing all access to sensitive information according to the principle of least privilege.
- Monitor encryption status and network security controls, conducting regular assessments to ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
- Identify and address security vulnerabilities within the hybrid network infrastructure, assessing risks and implementing protective measures against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Provide expert knowledge during security incidents related to encryption issues or unauthorized access, aiding in the swift revocation and substitution of compromised credentials.
