Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree with seven (7) years of experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
- Strong expertise in relational database management systems (RDBMS), particularly Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, covering installation, patching, and advanced SQL query optimization.
- Proven track record in performance tuning, high availability solutions (clustering/mirroring), and effective backup and recovery mechanisms to prevent data loss.
- Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to secure databases against potential threats.
- Practical experience in implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and
Responsibilities
- Manage database systems for secure enterprise applications by installing, configuring, and maintaining the necessary DBMS.
- Oversee backend databases for identity and credentialing systems to ensure complete data accuracy and synchronization across network nodes.
- Implement stringent security protocols in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to protect sensitive data, enforcing strict access controls.
- Create and execute thorough backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to mitigate data loss.
- Address and resolve issues related to database performance, connectivity, or security incidents.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including audit trails and compliance reports for relevant authorities.
