Requirements
Must:
- BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field with at least 14 years of experience; or Masters degree with 12 years; or PhD with 9 years of experience.
- Over 7 years of experience in satellite programs and in managing requirements development, analysis, decomposition, and allocation.
- Strong understanding of electro-optical system and subsystem functionality and performance.
- Proficient in DOORS, MS Office Suite, and Confluence.
- Knowledgeable in MBSE tools and data structures, such as CAMEO and SysML.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to the Electro-Optical System Program Office (ESPO) in the design, development, manufacturing, integration, testing, and launch of Electro-Optical satellites.
- Represent ESPO by supplying verification evidence for enterprise requirements assigned to the program office.
- Lead the development, traceability, and verification planning and execution of requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable interfaces and standards, or managing necessary deviations.
- Review system and subsystem designs to confirm adherence to program specifications.
- Engage in various engineering analyses, assessing power, weight, thermal control, and other design constraints, identifying technical risks, and aiding in the formulation of corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with prime contractors and enterprise stakeholders to develop and implement model-based systems engineering products (e.g., CONOPS, ICDs, Test Plans, Functional Decompositions).
- Assist in acquisition planning, documentation, and evaluations of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), as well as in government source selections and the technical assessment of satellite provider proposals.
- Work in a collaborative environment with government customer leads, commercial satellite developers, and other experts in the field.
