Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline with over 14 years of relevant technical experience.
- Valid Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility (must be able to qualify for SCI within the first 3 months of employment).
- At least 3 years of direct experience in space systems, space command and control, or similar areas within industry, DoD, or other agencies (such as NRO, NSA, NASA).
- Ability to establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
- Adaptable to fast-paced and changing environments.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with effective communication skills in status reporting across oral, written, and visual mediums.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Change Control Board (CCB) presentations to outline requirements, present technical solutions, recommend implementation strategies, and suggest testing protocols.
- Develop and update system documentation including the Interface Control Document, System Interface Document, network diagrams, and data flow visuals.
- Integrate and test space ground systems hardware and software from different vendors; collaborate with networking teams on interface setup and testing; team up with systems administration to validate mission software.
- Draft and maintain essential plans and procedures like system test plans, implementation plans, and testing protocols.
- Provide counsel to the customer on testing strategies for system integration and testing, collaborating with Satellite Control Network test centers.
- Partner with cybersecurity engineers to create, integrate, and uphold a secure network.
- Collaborate with project engineers, systems engineers, and other technical personnel to evaluate and present solutions for the functional and technical needs of satellite ground systems, which may involve both hardware and software.
- Ensure adherence to recognized system engineering practices and quality benchmarks, assessing existing methodologies and crafting solutions for improved productivity.
- Assist in the design, analysis, installation, management, and configuration of advanced LAN and network systems that support mission-critical operations.
