Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience with a minimum of 9 years of technical experience in space systems.
- Active Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility; must become eligible for SCI indoctrination within the first 3 months of employment.
- At least 3 years of direct experience in space systems, space command and control, or relevant equivalent disciplines, including experience with industry or government agencies such as DoD, NRO, NSA, or NASA.
- Strong ability to foster relationships and partnerships with stakeholders at various levels.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification needed for DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 compliance; must obtain environmental certification within 6 months.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, cyber specialists, and hardware technicians to integrate and modernize satellite ground systems.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of vital system documentation such as Interface Control Documents, network diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
- Develop materials for Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Change Control Board (CCB) that outline requirements, technical solutions, and test strategies.
- Draft and sustain test plans, system procedures, and implementation schedules to ensure the effective integration and testing of ground systems.
- Participate actively in technical meetings, reviews, and customer advisory sessions to enhance the performance and compliance of mission-critical systems.
